We are currently growing eight different varieties of Christmas trees that you will be able to select and cut. However, they are still growing and not at sufficient height for harvest. We began planting in the spring of 2021 and we plan for 7 years of growth prior to harvest. In the meantime, we are bringing in fresh cut Fraser Firs from North Carolina to meet your family's holiday needs.

Tree Varieties

White Pine

The white pine features needles that grown in bundles. With bluish-green hues and pointed tips, the branches of this tree are flexible and are mild in fragrance. The white pine is not recommended for heavy ornaments or large decorations as the branches are not as strong.

Scotch Pine

Dark green foliage and sturdy branches define the scotch pine. This tree can accommodate plenty of lights and decorations. The needles range in color from blue-green to a darker green in the winter months and needles are in bundles of two.

Norway Spruce

The Norway spruce is a fast-growing evergreen coniferous tree. Its leaves are needle-like and feature a dark green hue with pointed tips. Needle retention of the Norway spruce can be short-lived so proper care is very important. Needles are more 'prickly' than pines or firs.

Balsam Fir

The Balsam fir is an known for its conical shape and dense, dark green needles. The needles also tend to have hints of shining silver-white and are commonly used in wreaths and Christmas bouquets. It is popular for its spicy Christmas scent.

Canaan Fir

The Canaan fir is known a 'cousin' to the Fraser and Balsam firs. It is a medium growing evergreen with fantastic needle retention. The Canaan fir is native to the mountains of West Virginia.

Concolor Fir

The concolor fir is often referred to as the white fir. It's known for its flattened needles that are pointed at the tip. When it's young, the concolor fir features more blue-green colored needles, but as it gets older the needles turn into a duller green hue.

The concolor fir has a citrus aroma.

Fraser Fir

Known for its pleasant scent, the lighter green branches of the Fraser fir feature a conical shape. Branches on this tree reach upward and are very sturdy to handle heavy ornaments.

Eastern Red Cedar

Branches of this particular cedar are dense and form a pyramid-like shape. The leaves jet upwards and are dark green in color. This tree is aromatic and with scale-type leaves it is best suited for lighter weight ornaments.
